Over the last two decades, AlabamaPlants by biologist Dan Tenaglia has been an incredible resource for identifying native flowering plants in Alabama. Sadly, the original website went defunct due to Dan’s early passing. But now AlabamaPlants website is a part of GoTreeQuotes.com – the go-to resource for tree care and arboriculture information.

There are a ton of complements between my tree care articles and Dan’s catalog of plants – and I’m excited to allow Dan’s work to live on in his memory.

Additionally, there is a lot of crossover between our existing sites and body of work, including:

Alabama Plants Photo Gallary

One of the highlights of AlabamaPlants was the extensive gallery of photos documented by Dan. All were high-quality original shots taken to help users identify local plant species like the Cnidoscolus stimulus, Centrosema virginianum, or the eastern silver aster being some of the most popular.
